we got 8 core XEONS are work with 32 gb of buffered ram and we still max them out when even simple after effects comps.

oh its not that we choke them, its that after effects will gobble resources with a passion untamed, obviously we are rendering much faster than something less powerful but it still eats up the resources like nothing else.
